About Munyaka Child Centre
I started this work wen the church was involved in AIDS awareness as one of the media to create awareness to the world. WAHAP is a group that was formed by the church members to educate pipo on this dreaded and feared disease. We covered a very wide area ranging from Mijomboni, Gede, chembe, Jimba, Dabaso and Watamu. As a community a health worker together with my fellow members we managed to get orphans who’s parents had died of AIDS. These children were helpless and as I sympathized I decided to keep them in my house so that I could counsel them, Love them, give affection and medical attention later these children became part of my family. This is wen a vision came into my heart that I want to keep orphans especially those HIV positive and their parents died of HIV AIDS. As time went on the no of children grew bigger, from 6 to 30 Children. I started a nursery school then I begun looking for aid from well wishers especially in hotels like Sunpalm,Aquarius,TemplePoint and turtle bay etc. As this vision grew into my heart I managed to buy a small piece of land from the little cash I had saved from the visitors I used to receive.. CHILDREN ARE GIFT FROM GOD. THE TRUE RELIGION IS HELPING ORPHANS. We welcome any kind of donations or help through Watamu Women Project Account Number.1176184830.swift code kcblkenx, kcb bank.
