Janet Kenga a.k.a Mama Janet Is the lady with the biggest heart who in 2002 found the necessity to help these children. Working as a nurse for years she has shared the little she earned. Being a single mother of 6, she has shared her two bedroom house with her six children and the other children without families. It was until 2002 that she decided to find a better and more comfortable place for the new family.

Our mission is to help every children in our reach and give him the best and all he deserves. This is why Munyaka Child Centre has dormitory and a nursery school and in the past years it has always tried to build more so as to accommodate more children hence reduce the number of children without a home or hope.

Our vision is to ensure that our community is orphans free. It’s going to be a long uphill road but we at the Munyaka Child Centre are determined and ready to go all the way. We would like to have the maximum collaboration with the community to so as to reduce the number of orphans and abandoned children.

With the help from well friends and wishers like Turtle Bay Beach Resort, Aquarius hotel etc visitors from all around the world, Munyaka Child Centre has managed to help a few hundreds of children who right now are independent and doing very well in life and it is our hope to help thousands more.
